INGREDIENTS

"Is Prendas" pasta with saffron (quantity indicated in the package)

150 g freshly grated pecorino cheese

1 clove of garlic finely chopped

400 g of peeled tomatoes

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste.

PREPARATION

  1. Cook saffron "Is Prendas" pasta following the instructions on the package.
  2. Prepare the sauce: in a frying pan, heat the olive oil and add the chopped onion. Wilt it slightly, then add the chopped peeled tomatoes, salt and pepper. Cook for about 15-20 minutes over medium-low heat.
  3. Cook culurgiones in plenty of salted water for 2-3 minutes or until they rise to the surface. Drain and toss them with the sauce and a drizzle of olive oil.
  4. Serve saffron culurgiones with sauce and oil hot. You can garnish with a sprinkling of freshly grated pecorino cheese.
