SAFFRON CULURGIONES
Culurgiones are undoubtedly the most famous and delicious typical Sardinian dish. Originally prepared by local families for special occasions, they represent a true jewel of Sardinian culinary art. They are always handmade with only the best and freshest ingredients grown on the island, but what makes them truly unique is the particular type of closure during their preparation, called Sa Spighitta which resembles a head of wheat. The end result is an elaborate and delicious homemade pasta which, due to the effort and precision required during preparation, is very similar to the art of goldsmithing.
